We are looking for.. 


  • We are hiring! Details can be found HERE. 
  • Academic Background: Applicants must have either:
    • A bachelor’s or Master's degree (expected by 08/2025 or 02/2026) in the following [relevant fields]: 
      • Candidates with background of life science, genetics, medicine, cognitive science, quantitative science backgrounds (computer science, statistics, physics, or other engineering) 
      • Or any other Arts and Sciences will be welcome--if they are equipped with some skill sets of data science including programming (Python or R) and statistics. If there are no prior experiences of the quantitative data analysis, we expect the highest level of non-quantitative science domain backgrounds (eg, psychology, education, or other arts and sciences)
  • Great personality: self-motivated, curious, proactive, flexible, mature, kind, generous, contributing and independent
    • Academic Scholarship: observational, reasoning, critical, experimentation, creative, and communicative with other disciplines 
    • Commitment: Dedication to rigorous academic research and a strong work ethic.
  • Research Interest: Demonstrated interest in one of the following research areas. 
  • Expected Skills and Experience: Students who meet the [General Requirements] and satisfy at least one of the following [Categories]
    • Proficiency in programming (R/Python) and a strong foundation in statistics are a must.
    • [Category 1] Coders for Life Sciences: Proficient in ML/DL R/Python & interested in applying advanced DL architecture (e.g. transformer, MAMBA) for biomedical or genomics datasets.
    • [Category 2] Causal Inference Specialists: Interested in causal discovery and inference techniques to unravel the relationships between treatments, side effects, or disease interactions
      • A solid understanding of causal inference methods, such as propensity score matching, instrumental variables, or causal discovery frameworks (e.g., DAG-based models) is needed
    • [Category 3] DNA Multimodal Data Integrators: Experienced in omics data & motivated to integrate it with other data types like smart watch data, imaging data, or electronic health records (EHR)
      • A solid understanding of GWAS, polygenic risk score (PRS), and Mendelian randomization (MR) is a must for this type of applicants 
    • [Category 4] Time-series Data Analysts: Experienced /motivated in analyzing time-series or temporal data for smart health applications
    • [Category 5] Sociogenomists: Interested in the influence of Social Determinants of Health (SDH) on human genetics/health outcomes ​
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English for academic communication (both written and verbal).
    • TOEIC 800+, TOEFL IBT 90+, or equivalent proficiency in reading and writing academic papers in English
